Description You are bidding on a rare 1971 vinyl single from the origianal soundtrack of Walt Disney Production's 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'. The record features two songs from the film, 'The Beautiful Briny' and 'Portobello Road'. "The Beautiful Briny" is a song written by Robert and Richard Sherman, originally for the Walt Disney film Mary Poppins, but eventually used instead in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. David Tomlinson and Angela Lansbury perform the song as a duet under the water, in the lagoon of the Island of Naboombu. "Portobello Road" by Robert & Richard Sherman is a waltz about Portobello Road in London. It is sung by David Tomlinson about a street where, to this day– Anything and everything a chap can unload Is sold off the barrow in Portobello Road I remember buying this record at the cinema after I had watched the film. I don't know if it was only available in cinemas, or if it was available in record stores. Both the record and sleeve are in very good condition and there is also a reply card inside with a few questions for the record buyer.
