Vintage RCA Broadcast Transcription Turntable, Model 70-A . . circa early 1930's . . used to broadcast electrical transcriptions in early days of transcription use. This items has been stored in my garage for the past 27 years, and I've owned it for around 40 years.Cabinet needs a good cleaning ( it was re-painted before I got it ) . . . motor remains in excellent condition. This plays either 78 or 33-1/3 rpm discs, the gear lever for record speed is in the center of the turntable, moving forward and backward for desired speed. The tone-arm is there, as per photos, but do not think reproducer is there . . I used this with a modern tone-arm prior to obtaining updated turntables decades ago. . . See photos of motor switch and switch for change back and forth for either lateral and/or vertical transcriptions. . .This unit is extremely heavy, at least 100+ pounds ( I can't move it ) and cannot be shipped.LOCAL PICK-UP AT MY LOCATION ONLY. . . I am located in far northern Delaware, about 25 minutes south of Philadelphia International Airport.A true relic from a long-past era of broadcasting. ( I am separately offering an original Vitaphone Turntable and Tone-Arm & Reproducer. . see other items )
