They began as a 1960s pop band playing moody, simple keyboard-driven melodies. During the 1970s, they evolved into a progressive rock band, incorporating complex song structures and elaborate instrumentation, while their concerts became theatrical experiences with innovative stage design, pyrotechnics, elaborate costumes and onstage stories. This second phase was characterised by lengthy performances such as the 23 minute “Supper’s Ready”. Side One: Squonk; The Carpet Crawl; Robbery Assault & Battery; Afterglow. Side Two: Firth Of Fifth; I Know What I Like; The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway; The Musical Box (Closing Section). Side Three: Supper's Ready. Side Four: Cinema Show; Dance On A Volcano; Los Endos. Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system) Vinyl side 1: excellent (has a few very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle). Vinyl side 2: excellent (has a few very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle). Vinyl side 3: exellent (has a few very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle). Vinyl side 4: excellent (has a few very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle). Cover (glossy, gatefold): excellent (light corner, edge and spine wear, very light sticker removal mark front top right). Comes with the original picture inner sleeves in excellent condition - light aging/discolouring. I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
