"Don the Beachcomber" (Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gantt) is credited with founding the first "tiki" themed restaurant. He exploited the post-war tiki craze in any way he could, including selling special souvenir record albums out of his restaurant. This is one such album, titled "Music for Beachcombers." It collects four records originally released on the Bell Records label out of Honolulu. Those records are fairly common and largely uninteresting, but this souvenir album is anything but; an original vintage menu illustrates the front and rear boards, and "Don" himself has boldly signed the inside! Unfortunately the boards have detached and the spine strip is missing. There is some minor wear to the edges. But the illustrations on the front are bright and in fantastic shape. The records grade VG with some minor scuffing and surface scratches. The records will be removed from the album and securely packaged separately to prevent damage. The album and records will be sent in a 14 x 14 x 6" box with plenty of styrofoam packing material for cushioning. I have years of safely packaging and mailing fragile 78rpm records, so bid with confidence. I also gladly combine winning lots! Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
