From The Vault - An impossibly rare / unique, AC/DC Holy Grail. AC/DC - High Voltage This one is a big deal, and a top AC/DC rarity. This is NOT the normal "Broonzy" label error, (which is actually more common than the corrected label).Quite possibly, THE rarest Original Australian Issue AC/DC vinyl record in the world. Given it's condition, it is quite probably THE rarest Australian Issue AC/DC Vinyl record in the world. Rarity (possibly unique) Originality (1975 Original issue) Pedigree (Thoroughbred Australian, First album, First issue) Condition (Like new) With an original, First issue matrix in the Side One run-out deadwax, this vinyl record has a Second issue Blue label on side One, and a First issue, Blue Roo label on Side Two.The matrix numbers in the run-outs are first issue numbers. YAPAX1177 YAPAX1178 The second issue Blue Label has YAPAX1177-3 on Side One... This one does not have the -3 Side One is a First issue matrix, with a Second issue "Blue" label. Side Two is a first issue "Blue Roo" label, with a matrix that is common to both issues. ( it is only the Side One matrix that changes to differentiate the first Two pressings) It dumps all over the Gold vinyl 7" invite to Lazars, Melbourne 1976. (Top Dollar $12,500) It destroys the 12 of the best Cassette 1978 (Top Dollar $10,000) It vomits all over ANY and ALL of the AC/DC "A" label promo's It blows away the Dirty Deeds NZ Music World 7" single (Top Dollar $5000.00 AUD) It kicks the crap out of just about everything, on every level...Rarity, Originality, Condition & Pedigree, but as it has never been seen before, it is completely untested on it's value. This vinyl record will sit in any AC/DC record collection, as the absolute highest pedigree issue, and will be the envy of every record collector. I have had this in my collection for over 15 years, and I have never seen One the same EVER. There was One similar that sold last year, with a Blue label on side Two, and a Roo label on Side One, but that is not necessarily a mislabel, as, other than the Roo label, the only other way to identify an Australian First issue, from a Second issue, is in the Side One run-out matrix, as the B side matrices are identical on both the 1st and 2nd issues... When it was listed, I was keen to watch it, as it was the first one like it that I had seen, (other than this one in my own collection), but I did note that the sleeve was NOT the correct One for an Original issue, a point that I sent the seller a message about... but it did not seem to be of concern to the seller and it went on to sell for $1595.00 (The sleeve was from a later 1983 issue, which can be identified by the Orange band on the front of the sleeve...on the 1983 issue it is red on the left hand side, and on the 1987 issue, it is all Red.. and they are some very little known identifiers) The difference between buying high end collectables from a "flipper", or from a collector.... knowledge and integrity... that seller knowingly sold a customer a dishonest collectable... they knew it, because I pointed it out to them! This One I am selling, is Mint, has a First issue matrix, but a Second issue Blue label on Side One, and a First issue Roo label on Side Two, the sleeve is Original, First issue, and Like New. I ask that all postage options be considered, including full insurance and Express Post. This will be professionally packed to an extremely high standard, but things can go wrong (and lost) in the post, so fully insured, and Express Post (shortest possible transit time) is highly recommended. Grade & score out of 100 GRADING Mint is a Rigid Band - The next Four Grades are all Narrow Bands, that slightly widen as the condition gradually deteriorates - Good is still Good, but there is a rapid widening of the Grade Bands, as the condition deteriorates over the last Four grades. MINT 100 The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Only graded on records that are sealed or clearly unplayed. NEAR MINT 97 to 99 EXCELLENT 90 to 96 The record shows virtually no signs of having been played, there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have the slightest of tiny defects. The record shows some slight signs of having been played, but there is very little, (if any) lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have very slight wear. VERY GOOD PLUS 80 to 89 VERY GOOD 69 to 79 The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear, light creasing. The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects. This is an above average used record, that has been well looked after. GOOD 56 to 68 The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated, but the record will still play through, and it will not be a completely unpleasant listening experience, even at the bottom of this grade (56). The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR 41 to 55 The record is still playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even stick, skip or jump.. This is starting to be an unpleasant listening experience at the top of the grade (55) and will not be a pleasant listening experience at all by the end of it (41). The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR 25 to 40 The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD 0 - 24 The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. The Sleeve is non existent (0) or what is left, is only just recognisable.
